Program Overview

The CodeCatalyst Technologies Internship Program is designed to help aspiring developers gain real-world experience through project-based learning. The Program is free of charge to participate in, but a $10 fee is required to obtain a certificate of completion and a recommendation letter.

Eligibility

Participants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Program:

  1. Be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent if under 18.
  2. Have a basic understanding of software development or a related field.

Intellectual Property

Ownership of Work: The projects you complete during the Program are your intellectual property. However, by participating, you grant CodeCatalyst Technologies a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote your projects for marketing and promotional purposes.

Usage of CodeCatalyst Technologies Materials: Any materials, guides, or tools provided by CodeCatalyst Technologies remain our intellectual property. Participants may use these resources solely for the purpose of completing the Program.

Prohibited Use: You are prohibited from distributing, sharing, or reselling any materials provided by CodeCatalyst Technologies without our written consent.

Participant Responsibilities

By enrolling in the Program, you agree to:

  1. Complete Assigned Projects: Complete the assigned projects with your best efforts. Projects must be submitted according to the deadlines specified.
  2. Maintain Professional Conduct: Engage with the Program in a respectful and professional manner, including any interactions with other participants, mentors, or CodeCatalyst staff.
  3. Honesty and Integrity: All work submitted must be your own. Plagiarism or unauthorized use of others’ work will result in immediate disqualification from the Program and denial of the certificate and recommendation letter.
  4. Feedback and Evaluation: Accept constructive feedback on project submissions and use it to improve. This is part of the learning experience.

Certificate & Recommendation letter

  1. Eligibility for Certificate and Letter: To receive a certificate of completion and a professional recommendation letter, participants must complete all assigned projects and pay a $10 processing fee.
  2. Use of Certificate and Letter: The certificate and recommendation letter are intended for professional and academic use only. Participants may not alter or misuse these documents in any way.

Top Performers Program

  1. Stipend for Top Performers: Each cohort’s top five performers may receive a stipend as recognition for their outstanding performance. The stipend amount will be determined by CodeCatalyst Technologies.
  2. Job Referrals and Recommendations: Top performers may be recommended to partner companies and potential employers, based on availability and agreement with third parties. CodeCatalyst Technologies cannot guarantee employment placement for any participant.

Program Policy

  1. Open Enrollment: We operate on an open enrollment basis and do not limit the number of participants. All eligible applicants will be admitted to the Program.
  2. Modifications to the Program: CodeCatalyst Technologies reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program or any of its aspects at any time. We will notify participants of any significant changes.
  3. No Employment Relationship: Participation in the Program does not constitute employment with CodeCatalyst Technologies. Participants will not receive any wages, benefits, or other compensation apart from the stipend for top performers.

Fees & Payment

  1. Certification Fee: A $10 fee is required to receive a certificate of completion and a recommendation letter. This fee is non-refundable.
  2. Payments: Payments must be made through the payment methods specified on our website. We do not accept cash or checks

Limitation of Liability

CodeCatalyst Technologies is not liable for any losses, damages, or harm resulting from participation in the Program, including but not limited to:

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, you agree to attempt resolution through mutual communication with CodeCatalyst Technologies. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be subject to arbitration according to South african laws.

Termination of Participation

CodeCatalyst Technologies reserves the right to terminate your participation in the Program if you breach these Terms or engage in any inappropriate or disruptive behavior. In such cases, you will not be eligible for the certificate or recommendation letter.
